Tegan Clarke

Medical Student

Frietze Lab Member since 2021
BA, Chemistry & French (double major), University of New Mexico, 2014

Tegan is a medical student in the UNM School of Medicine (Class of 2024) . She is currently investigating the antibody response to Chlamydia trachomatis vaccines developed in the Frietze Lab. 


Prior to starting medical school, Tegan worked in analytical chemistry, child psychiatry research, and vaccine research. Her interests include infectious diseases, epidemiology, health equity, and vaccine development. One of her favorite parts of working in the Frietze lab is being surrounded by a hardworking team of brilliant women. When she is not in the lab, Tegan can be found studying for school, organizing and assisting with student-run vaccination clinics, and chairing UNM's Bioethics Interest Group.
