Bella is a PhD student in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program at the University of New Mexico (UNM). As an undergraduate, she worked in the laboratory of Dr. Andy Hu at UNM investigating pathways of regulated cell death. Bella also participated in the Amgen Scholars Program at Johns Hopkins University, studying miRNAs in the laboratory of Dr. John Kim. In the Frietze Lab, Bella is working to develop opioid vaccines.
