Leslie is currently helping on the Frietze Lab project that investigates antibody responses to Chlamydia trachomoatis. Leslie is also helping to produce VLPs to rationally designed targets to further investigate protectivity of vaccine candidates.

Leslie was the CLIA consultant for Sandia National Laboratory's COVID diagnostic laboratory during the pandemic, leading her to complete her PhD with a focus in Microbiocidal Genomics and Epidemiology.
