Novel Therapeutics for Opioid Use Disorder and other Drugs of Abuse

We are interested in developing vaccines against drugs of abuse. Using bacteriophage virus-like particle vaccine platforms, we display drugs of abuse and elicit high titer, long-lasting antibodies that can sequester the drug in the blood, preventing the effect of the drug. This work is a collaboration with Dr. Bryce C. Chackerian's laboratory at the University of New Mexico.
